Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains how TradeTrust collects, uses, shares, and protects information when customers, professionals, visitors, and partners use our website and marketplace services.

Information we collect

We may collect account details, contact information, service locations, project descriptions, messages, reviews, professional credentials, business information, device and usage data, and records of support requests.

Payment information is processed by payment providers such as Stripe. TradeTrust does not store full payment-card numbers.

How we use information

We use information to operate accounts, match customers with professionals, process lead access and payments, support messaging, verify submitted credentials, prevent fraud, provide customer support, improve the platform, measure advertising performance, and meet legal obligations.

Analytics and advertising measurement

TradeTrust uses Google Analytics, optional Google Ads measurement for Google and YouTube campaigns, the Meta Pixel for Facebook and Instagram, and the TikTok browser Pixel to understand website visits and completed actions such as account registration, customer job requests, checkout initiation, and verified lead purchases. These tools operate by default on safe public pages without displaying a popup. Visitors can turn optional tracking off at any time through the Privacy Choices control in the website footer. A browser Global Privacy Control signal is treated as an automatic decline and cannot be overridden through the website control.

TradeTrust manually sends privacy-sanitized single-page-application page views. Only approved campaign, advertising-click, category, payment-status, and diagnostics query keys are retained; all other query keys and URL fragments are removed from measurement metadata. Fresh loads of account-recovery, dashboard, message, review, administrator, and professional-reputation pages, and URLs with unapproved query values or authentication fragments, do not initialize browser trackers. Google Analytics may group a public identifier-bearing professional route under a generic path and title; Meta and TikTok browser pixels do not initialize on those profile routes because browser pixels read the current URL directly. If a tracker was already loaded on a public page, TradeTrust suppresses its explicit private-route page event and forces measurement consent denied or revokes optional pixel consent when SPA navigation enters a private page. Already-downloaded third-party code remains controlled by the provider, so TradeTrust does not claim that revocation can technically erase the script from the current document or prevent every provider-controlled cookieless request. TradeTrust requires Google Analytics automatic browser-history page views and TikTok automatic SPA page views to be disabled to avoid duplicate or uncontrolled page tracking. TikTok Enhanced Data Postback must also remain disabled because that feature can automatically collect page metadata, form and button interactions, page variables, and performance data.

These providers may receive device, browser, sanitized page, cookie, advertising-click, and interaction information under their own privacy terms. TradeTrust does not intentionally send payment-card numbers, message contents, project descriptions, names, email addresses, phone numbers, or exact ZIP-code filters through these browser tracking tools. TikTok Events API and Meta Conversions API are not active in this release.

How information is shared

Information may be shared with users when needed to complete a marketplace interaction, with vendors that provide hosting, analytics, communications, authentication, and payment services, and with authorities when legally required. We do not sell personal information.

Data retention and security

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention. We use administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of eligible personal information and may opt out of non-essential marketing communications. Some records may need to be retained for legal, security, or transaction purposes.

Children

TradeTrust is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
